Sept. 2024 - Hello! If you try to schedule a session, you’ll notice I don’t have many days available. More days will open up soon! Please check back or send me a text/email and I can find a time for you. I am currently booked out 3-4 weeks, but people reschedule so please don’t hesitate to add yourself to the waitlist (text me!) and I’ll contact you with the next available date!
Client Requirements
You must book an appointment on-line (click yellow box above) or send me an email/text. No walk-ins.
Please cancel your appointment through my online scheduler or via text/email if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms during the 48 hours prior to your appointment or have recently been exposed to any other respiratory viruses.
Offerings
Therapeutic, Relaxation Massage
A session with me will usually include a blend of Swedish massage (flowing strokes and muscle kneading) along with slow and targeted deep tissue work, myo-fascial release, passive stretches, Thai massage techniques, and/or trigger point therapy as needed. There may also be moments of active engagement to encourage muscles to release. Craniosacral holds may be added to any session.
Before each session, we will have a discussion about what you and your body are experiencing. Together, we will come up with a plan for the bodywork that fits your needs.
I use organic jojoba oil or unscented Sacred Earth massage cream as well as a variety of essential oils (optional).
Pregnancy Massage
Massage during all stages of pregnancy and postpartum can be greatly beneficial by helping relieve lower back/hip pain, reduce swelling in lower legs and feet, and improve sleep and circulation.
Massage is also known to help regulate hormone production by lowering stress hormones (cortisol and norepinephrine) while increasing relaxation hormones (serotonin and dopamine) which can keep your immune system strong and ward off depression and anxiety.
Luminous Massage
Enhance your Therapeutic, Relaxation Massage by adding a topical, cannabis-infused oil to your massage experience. For this session, I use Sky, the high THC infused oil blend made locally by Luminous Botanicals. They are an exemplary Portland company that uses organic oils and quality, Sun+Earth certified flower to produce a variety of concentrated cannabis oil blends. Check them out at luminousbotanicals.com or better yet, find them at your local dispensary! I also have their Earth blend for those wanting a CBD dominant massage.
When applied topically, you will not experience psychotropic effects (you won’t get high). Topical cannabis use can help muscles accept deep tissue work more effectively and can help reduce pain and inflammation. Some clients also state that the effects of the massage last longer than a session without. For more information about topical cannabis use, click and explore: leafly.com.
MVC (Motor Vehicle Collision) Claims
Were you involved in a motor vehicle collision? Regardless of the intensity, your body has been impacted and can cause immediate and long term discomfort. Getting regular treatments may greatly reduce muscle tightness and pain and the risk of a more serious situation in the future. Some people state that they “feel fine” or “will be okay after a couple of weeks” and do not seek the treatments they need. Know that your PIP will cover massage therapy after an MVC and that your future self will thank you!
Some insurance companies will require you to obtain a referral for massage from a doctor (DC, ND, LAc, MD). Please contact me for further information.
Insurance: Accepting Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon
Are you fully utilizing your health insurance plan? BCBS understands the importance of bodywork in a holistic wellness regimen and most plans offer massage therapy with low co-pay amounts.
